Tutoring & Adult EducationWorked as a tutor for high school mathematics (algebra 2) and physics during 2005-06 and 2006-07, resuling in an improvement of a full letter grade or more for each student. Taught HTML authoring and basic UNIX skills to users at MIT via one-on-one sessions, small group discussions, and presentations to groups of 50-100 people. Biotech Research & EngineeringProcess EngineeringAs a research scientist for Advanced Magnetics (now AMAG Pharmaceuticals), developed and scaled up manufacturing and purification processes for MRI contrast agents and raw materials using cGMPs. Managed transfer of these processes from R&D to production. Trained production personnel in relevant procedures and supervised production of initial batches. Tissue CultureDesigned, implemented, and managed a small-scale pharmaceutical tissue culture program. Responsibilities included laboratory design, budgeting, purchasing, and research. Researched and developed experimental protocols and SOPs for tissue culture laboratory. Trained personnel in tissue culture techniques and procedures. Technical SupportResponsible for second-tier support of Manufacturing Planning Windows software package.
